This Thursday the Central Bank published the data of the Passive Basic Rate (TBP), which returned to its lowest level of the year to stand at 5.70%.
This indicator fell 0.15 points compared to the previous week, when it was 5.85%.
The TBP is an average used by financial institutions to calculate the cost of operations in colones, therefore when people have credits at variable rates associated with this rate, they should pay attention to the movements.
Traditionally, each month banks and entities review these movements to adjust loan installments, either up or down.
