Due to the dry season, there will be a drinking water service disruption in Puriscal and Mora.
The Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AyA) reported that this period causes a considerable decrease in the flow of water sources.
As consequence, AyA made a schedule for some communities: it started on February 7th and will end in the rainy season.
The Institute recommends that the population take measures and it urges people to have an adequate and responsible use of the liquid.
The service will be interrupted in the following way:
1. Puriscal canton.
-Santiago District, from 9 am to 4 pm
Jarazal street, Cirrí street, Barrio Las Brisas, Barrio San Francisco, Corazón de María (after the cave), road to Mercedes Norte, Los Lagos, Junquillo Arriba, Santa Cecilia (MINAE), Barrio Los Ángeles, old street to San Antonio, Barrio Charcón de los Ángeles, Mercedes Norte and Cañales.
-Santiago District, from 4 pm to 9 pm
Barrio Corazón de Jesus, Barrio San Isidro, Barrio Buenos Aires, Barrio Estadio, Corazón de María Agricultural Sector, Junquillo (Up to the school), Super Belford, Los Villegas Family Street, high parts of Santiago.
* Water service will be interrupted in Santiago Center, Barrio El Carmen, Polideportivo, only when there is an emergency or a tank shortage.
-Mercedes South District, from 9 am to 3 pm
Cerbatana: Sector Antiguo Aserradero until Bar Reyes, Ciudadela San Gerardo and sports sector, Los Arley street and La Legua street.
-Mercedes South District, from 9 am to 4 pm
Mercedes Norte: The School sector, Plaza de Deportes ector, road to Bajo Murillo and road to San Juan.
-San Antonio District, 8 am to 2 pm
From the Super Araya to cemetery street, road to Santa Cecilia and road to San Rafael. From the Super Araya old street to the estuary, the whole area of Charcón del Estero. San Antonio’s catholic church sector. San Antonio school to Ciudadela Tinamaste.
-Barbacoas District, from 10 am to 4 pm
Bajo Burgos sector, Bajo Moras sector and lots of IDA.
2. Mora canton.
Guayabo District, from 8 am to 2 pm
The entire sector of Claras de Mora.
