Board of Directors of the CCSS is complete again

The Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of the Private Business Sector (UCCAEP) chose the replacement of Renato Alvarado as representative in the Board of Directors of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS).

Jorge Luis Araya, economist and deputy executive director of UCCAEP, will be in office until May 31st. One of the compelling reasons to choose him was that he has extensive knowledge about the current situation of the CCSS. He is chairman of the Vigilance Committee of the Disability, Old Age and Death Regime, and is also part of the internal Commission of UCCAEP that discusses and analyzes various internal affairs.

Franco Arturo Pacheco, president of UCCAEP, assured that Araya has the crowds, the experience and sufficient knowledge to efficiently exercise the new public function. He also reiterated that they were not responsible for the delay in the appointment.

Araya said he hopes to be able to contribute to the institution, despite the short period of his labor there.

Renato Alvarado resigned at the beginning of March to join the electoral campaign of the Citizen Action Party (PAC).
