Bomb threat in San José Palacio Hotel

The Public Force of San José and the canine unit carried out operations at the San José Palacio hotel after an alleged bomb threat was received on Sunday afternoon.

As confirmed by the Ministry of Security, after the “threat” the response protocols were activated and the presence of any type of explosive was ruled out.

This case joins dozens of other false threats at the end of 2017 when the Ricardo Saprissa stadium, the Courts of Justice of San José, Alajuela, and Heredia had to be evacuated, in addition to threats to the National Stadium prior to a qualifying match between Costa Rica and Mexico, crime for which a minor was arrested in Limón.
