For almost six decades the historic Mercado Borbón, located in downtown San José, opened its doors to Costa Rican families to provide a quality service in the products it offers daily and now it is renewed with this platform where it sells, manages the payment and the delivery of each product requested by the public virtually.
The launch of the new strategy involves Coopeborbón associates who allied with the company “Digital Solidarity” to offer their customers their products on a digital platform, in which they can buy fresh products, at a good price, either from home, offices or businesses, through a computer or cell phone.
Martha Estrada, manager of the Cooperative, said that the idea is to reinvent the market to attract new consumers who, for different reasons, do not visit the market.
The new virtual platform will show all users, the people who work daily in each of the sections, as working people who love what they do and believe in the importance of fresh and quality food: The Market has been affected due to external factors that have caused the decrease in the number of people and this is why we explore these new technological options that will allow our merchants to continue to have contact with the consumer even if they do not physically go to the market,”
said Estrada.
Buying is very simple, just visit the site of the Borbón Market www.mercadoborbon.com , choose if you want to buy by “sections” or by product, add the products to the cart, pay, and the order will be sent to your door.
