An ambitious program aims to teach young people from Mora how to box. It counts on two great figures in that sport’s support: Hanna Gabriels and her husband, Bryan “Tiquito” Vásquez.

This is a municipal project, which started thanks to the new municipal sports committee. Gilberto Monge, Mayor of Mora, explained that they will start looking for an establishment to set up the academy or the boxing club on January 30th.

The local government intends to promote boxing throughout the population, since it is an excellent sport because it requires a lot of discipline and it helps people to release tension.

Monge commented that the fact that figures such as Gabriels and Vasquez lead the project motivates many people.

It is a very interesting proposal. In addition, they both live in the area, which is a funny, curious fact,

mentioned Monge.

And the ambition goes further. The mayor does not rule out creating a boxing team to be part of the national games in the future.
