A video shows an officer passing on the right, without activating any lights or the siren to warn other drivers.
However, Felipe Venegas, assistant director of the organization, explained that traffic officers are allow to perform these practices in case of an emergency, but he admitted that there are some officers who take advantage of the uniform to make improper actions without being necessary and those cases must be reported.
If a traffic officer acted in an unjustifiable way, it will be reprimanded or punished and would be investigated to know what happened and why she or he did it,”
