“Chavista attack”, the video game that sent a Venezuelan to prison

Last Sunday, Leonardo Quintero, creator of “Chavista attack”, was arrested by the intelligence service for allegedly inciting hatred with his videogame, which consist of killing violent supporters of the Venezuelan government.

Knock, knock, who is it? SEBIN is here,”

sang with irony Diosdado Cabello, government leader, in his television show ‘Con el mazo dando’.

According to the leader, Quintero is the creator of the game, which in turn would have been funded by a friend of Julio Borges , president of the parliament of opposition majority.

Let’s see who’s going to defend you now. Let’s see if Julio Borges says he knows you,”

said Cabello, who showed a photo of the Quintero being arrested by the SEBIN.

He also read a report sent by an informant, which indicates that the video game is intended to induce hatred and killing.

‘Chavista attack’ can be downloaded through an application and consists of assassinating violent government militants in the streets of Caracas to prevent them from taking control of the Legislature.

The targets are men with red shirts and government party members moving on motorcycles. Every time the characters are hit with a machine gun, the text on the screen reads “Oh, my commander (Chávez), I’ve been hit!”

Release your political frustration and end all the armed chavistas who try to gain control of the Legislature,”

says the synopsis of the game, promising new scenarios, weapons and recognized characters of Venezuelan politics to provide an outlet for nonconformity.

The political upheaval is in full bloom in Venezuela, where President Nicolás Maduro faces a wave of protests since April 1st where 48 people have died and hundreds are wounded and arrested for demanding general elections.
