Ciudad Neily and Golfito will host more than 600 artists. They will participate in the Festival Nacional de las Artes 2016 (FNA16). The festival will take place from August, 5th to August,14th. There are 250 shows planned.
The activities in Golfito will be carried out in Pueblo Civil’s park and gym, Casa Roland, Colegio Técnico Profesional Carlos Manuel Vicente Castro’s gym and the concert stage will be next to Hotel Samoa.
In Ciudad Neily, the shows will be presented in central park’s amphitheater and esplanade, the Catholic Church, the rectory, Ciudad Neily High School’s gym and Asociación de Desarrollo Integral.
The festival will offer theater groups, dance, music, circus, cinema, handcrafts, creative workshops and swing criollo dance. They were selected based on their artistic value, diversity, expressions within the same discipline, technical complexity, region’s social and cultural context, range of audience, thematic guidelines and geographical origin.
The activities are scheduled in two parts: the first one will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. and the second part will be from 3:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
From August, 6th to August, 13th activities will reach 8 distant communities: San Vito, Agua Buena, La Cuesta, Comte, Río Claro, Palmar Norte, Ciudad Cortés and Rey.
More than 140 thousand people are expected to participate in these cultural events.
