Clash between security forces and truck drivers

On Monday afternoon, officers of the security forces had to intervene to end a blockade by about 30 truck drivers in the area of Paso Canoas. As a result, there were broken windows and chaos.

Carlos Hidalgo, a spokesman for the Ministry of Public Security said they intervened because the truckers were blocking the entrance to Customs in Paso Canoas, southern sector of the country.

The blockade is part of the demonstrations that took place on Monday, to complain about unfair competition by Central American transporters.
