The national Inter-American South route gave in under the rain, near the bridge over Coto River.

In Ureña street and Route 2, arriving in Rio Claro there are also landslides. At the moment there are communication problems with the people close to Depósito de Golfito and the South Zone because of the problem in the national route and the alternative of Bambel.

The president of the CNE, Iván Brenes, said that preliminary field assessments are being carried out and that they already sent 200 futons, blankets and food. There are no shelters currently enabled.

Brenes recommended keeping informed through the CNE and National Meteorological Institute. Also, be careful when crossing rivers and ravines, as well as areas vulnerable to landslides, and be alert on the road.
