According to the latest report from the National Emergency Commission (CNE), 31 communities are affected by hurricane Otto.
Ivan Brenes, CNE president, detailed that 23 communities are isolated: 7 in Osa, 14 in Golfito and 2 in Turrialba.
He also indicated that 28 shelters are open in the 15 cantons of the most affected regions, where there are still 3,108 people.
Brenes explained that the damages are caused by heavy rains, landslides and flooded rivers.
He added that they are monitoring through the National Meteorological Institute (IMN).
