The National Coastguard Service rescued a Brazilian tourist that was pushed offshore by the strong winds in Flamingo Beach.
According to a report by the Ministry of Security, the 38-year-old tourist was identified as Andre Delgou.
He was using a board and a paddle when he was pushed by a strong wind current. He was later found by the coastguard three miles (5 km) from the beach of Flamingo,”
indicated the entity.
The coastguards made a call on the population because the Brazilian did not carry any means of communication, or life jackets. The rescue occurred during a preventive patrol carried out in the sector.
Last week, the authorities rescued a Canadian tourist and a Costa Rican tourist who were dragged by a current in Playa de Doña Ana.
