Cody Roman’s case might not be a murder case

The mystery of what happened to Cody Roman Dial is soon to be clarified and the hypothesis of the Judicial Investigation Organization (OIJ) is that perhaps he wasn’t murdered.

Cody disappeared in 2014, but it wasn’t until last Friday that some belongings and skeletal remains were found in the Corcovado National Park.

After the report, his parents returned to Costa Rica to provide DNA samples to the OIJ’s forensic laboratories.

The OIJ submitted several reports to the Public Prosecutor with 2 hypotheses: murder or death of another type.

The analysis will allow us to close the case and identify if there is some kind of trauma. That brings light to a case of difficult solution. We think that we are not facing a criminal act, but a death of another nature,”

said Walter Espinoza, director of the OIJ.
