The Comptroller General of the Republic approved the investment of more than ¢ 1,500 million in the improvements to the Quepos-Manuel Antonio aqueduct.
The comptroller gave the endorsement to the contract signed between the Costa Rican Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (AYA) and the company Proyectos Turbina S.A.
The award was made at the meeting of the AYA Board of Directors on July 19th last year, but it was not until the end of that year that the Comptroller General gave the green light to the project, according to document DCA-3593, dated December 21st.
The National Environmental Technical Secretariat processed the administrative file D1-17624-2016-SETENA in which the permits for the work were requested.
The Project consists of a line from La Managua wells to Quepos storage tanks with Ductile iron pipes, with a diameter of 400 mm and an approximate length of 5,900 meters […] allowing the entrance to existing tanks […]”
Activities to be carried out: Site cleaning, demolition of existing metal tanks, construction of temporary facilities, trenching, installation of pipelines, earthworks, road repairs, conformation of the land, construction of tanks, electromechanical and measuring equipment for telemetry control.
