After the second reading, the Legislative Assembly approved the Paris Agreement, a global initiative that promotes actions to fight climate change.
The agreement, which received 43 votes in favor and 1 against, was signed in December, 2015 by 195 countries in the French capital.
It is an agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that deals with greenhouse gases emissions mitigation, adaptation and finance.
According to the agreement, countries with fewer resources will receive international assistance to enable them to reduce their emissions.
