A criminal court in Pococí sentenced two men to one year in prison each, for capture sea turtles in Tortuguero National Park, Limon. Both were arrested in 2011 when they were caught with two turtles by inspectors from the Ministry of Environment and Energy. Neither will serve time as the sentence of less than 3 years is converted to probation.
