A series of Cuban films will be showed in Juan Santamaría Cultural, Historical Museum. It will start on October 13th and at least one movie will be showed every month for free.
On October 13th, at 7 pm, Habanastation, by Ian Padrón, will be presented. The film was selected as a candidate to represent its country at the Oscars Awards 2012.
It tells the experiences of two school friends, from their daily lives in a classroom to their different lives’ realities.
This film made its debut in 2011 and it received the award for best feature film in the Founders Prize category and the Audience Award at the Traverse City Festival in Michigan.
It also received the Glauber Rocha award from the New Latin American Cinema International Festival, a prize from Prensa Latina News Agency, an Unicef prize in the same contest, as well as El Vigía prize.
