Daniel Ortega-Rosario Murillo team continues paving the way to win all political power in Nicaragua and boast, through pro-government means of communication, of their popularity.
Pro-government newspaper El 19 Digital published the results of a survey conducted by the M&R Consultores, where the Frente Sandinista de Liberación Nacional (FSLN) is supported by 62.8% of the population.
Families believe that the FSLN is the party that has more capacity to solve problems (67.5%) and 61% expressed confidence towards the revolutionary organization,
published the newspaper.
Ortega is in the eye of the controversy after separating opposition parties from Nicaraguan Plenary and for announcing Murillo as running mate. According to the government, opposition parties do not reach a 4% level of acceptance.
Rosario Murillo has a 72.7% acceptance, only surpassed by Ortega as the study states. This suggests that the role of women in campaign will be predominant.
After taking full control of the National Assembly, Nicaraguan opposition considered that all these actions and the Supreme Electoral Court decisions are part of Ortega’s strategies to weaken potential electoral rivals.
