Discussions and irregular parkings are the most common problems in Zapote fairground

Fights between 2 or more people and vehicles parked in irregular places are the most common offenses in Zapote fairground.

There have been 28 cases of public riots while the Municipal Police have intervened 45 vehicles for parking on yellow line or exits of ambulances and patrols.

In addition, according to information from the National Board of Children (PANI), about 30 minors have been taken to their offices for liquor consumption.

Marcerlo Solano, director of the Municipal Police of San José, indicated that the minors are taken to a safe place until an adult looks for them.

In spite of these cases, Solano informed that this year’s balance is positive, compared to previous years.

Solano explained that having full control of the fairgrounds have made the job has been easier since the Municipality of Curridabat decided not to be part of the celebrations.

San José festivities started on December 25th and they will run until January 8th.
