Domestic violence complaint led to marijuana lab discovery

March 1, 2017 by Staff News Writer

The Public Force went to a house in Bello Horizonte, Escazú for a domestic violence complaint, and ended up discovering a marijuana laboratory.

A woman called the police delegation to report violence. Upon arriving at the house, the officers saw a room with purple lights, so they asked about it.

The answer surprised them. They found 16 marijuana plants, fans and other tools used in what it seems to be a hydroponic laboratory. In addition, they found a bag with 300 grams of stinging marijuana.

As a result, a 24-year-old man named Bansbach was arrested, both for being a suspect of domestic violence, and for allegedly violating the Psychotropic Law.
