Tibás City Council decided that the dry law will be applied on September 15th due to the anniversary celebrations of the Independence of Costa Rica.
It was announced through a press release, which added that the sale of alcoholic beverages in bars, liquor stores, supermarkets and grocery stores will be banned from 8 o’clock in the morning until 3 o’clock in the afternoon.

said Carlos Cascante, mayor of Tibás.
José Luis Sandoval, chief of the Tibás local police, explained that they have had bad experiences when people attend parades under the influence of alcohol.
This is not the first time this measure is applied, so businessmen are used to it.
