The announcement of a poverty reduction in the country was well received by the business sector, represented by the Costa Rican Union of Chambers and Associations of Private Enterprises (UCCAEP), entity that celebrated the results of the National Household Survey released this Wednesday showing a significant decrease in the level of poverty in Costa Rica.
The business sector recognizes that these positive results are a consequence of the interagency coordination achieved by the Social Council, presided by Vice President of the Republic, Ana Helena Chacón, who has done a great job in this area,”
said Franco Pacheco, president of UCCAEP.
According to the businessman, the Union of Chambers gives priority to combating poverty.
The vehicle to continue this work lies in education and employment generation. In the first, it must be adapted to the existing labor demand for the obvious transformation that has taken place in our country. And in terms of employment, it should improve the climate to attract investment, both domestic and foreign, to produce more and better job opportunities,”
said Pacheco.
The representative believes a good interagency coordination yields positive results on public spending, resulting in efficient management of resources.
