7 years after starting as a venture with 6 people in a garage in Pavas, Establishment Labs opened its new plant in Coyol, Alajuela. It will employ more than 100 people.
It currently has a 295-employee payroll and it will grow, as well as the production of breast implants. 35 million dollars will be invested to expand its global operations.
The inauguration was attended by president of the Republic Luis Guillermo Solís, who was gratifyingly surprised due to Costa Rica’s quality and ability.
The new facility includes a research and development laboratory that will design, create and import breast implants to over 60 countries worldwide. Production would reach 500,000 implants every year.
