The average exchange rate fell to ¢600.48 this Monday in the Foreign Currency Market (MONEX) and started the week with the ninth consecutive reduction.
In 12 days, the average quotation of the currency was reduced more than ¢28.37, after reaching maximum levels of ¢628.85 in MONEX and ¢638 in banks.
During this period of the year there is a greater supply of dollars in the market that causes a decrease in the exchange rate. This greater supply is usually related to the change of currency of transnationals for the payment of taxes and bonuses.
