The former candidate for the National Restoration Party, Fabricio Alvarado, denied his new political group, New Republic, contains a religious background.
This was pointed out by the politician, who was invited along with legislator Jonathan Prendas to the TV show Enfoques, broadcasted this Wednesday.
However, Alvarado said that he will still defend the same positions with this party, although some were distorted.
Our proposal is broad, it is a country proposal in terms of infrastructure, poverty, which includes everyone, which will bring a better quality of life and we will prove it,”
said the politician.
With Alvarado’s official departure from the National Restoration party, where he claims not to feel welcomed anymore, especially after accusations of a parallel structure of expenses in the electoral campaign by the president of the Carlos Avendaño group, seven legislators are also leaving, and now they will form a new legislative bloc.
Alvarado rejected such accusations and reiterated that the candidate never calls anyone to negotiate anything, nor signs documents related to expenses.
When this situation occurs I understand that it is time to temporarily stand aside, think and reflect on how I want to serve the country,”
explained Alvarado, referring to his silence after the election results in April.
Alvarado said that some the first things on his agenda are meeting with the legislators who followed him to the new party, to catch up on legislative issues, such as the approach of the tax reform.
In that sense he rejected that the political movement has been negotiating with the government to support the fiscal reform.
