Three fake DEA agents were convicted to prison for drug and weapons possession and transport, trespassing and unlawful deprivation of freedom.
The accused were Panamanian citizens, Oldemar Abrego, who was sentenced to 29 years in prison, and Joaquín Aragua and Miguel Samudio, sentenced to 27 years in prison each.
The Public Ministry reported that the criminals
used vests, caps and balaclavas with false DEA badges to break into the house of a Costa Rican man, deprive him of his freedom and take 121 packages of cocaine on August 17th, 2014 in Cuervito de La Cuesta. Last Friday, they were all found guilty and convicted to a total of a 110 years of prison”.
The Costa Rican man, identified as Juan Carlos Campos, also received 27 years of prison for drug possession and storage.
