FDA warns about use of anesthesia in these people

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) of the United States, issued a warning about the use of anesthesia for pregnant women and children under 3 years old.

According to the agency, and being sedated for long or being sedated several times could pose a health risk for them.

The warning explains that the use of repeated or prolonged (longer than 3 hours) general anesthesia and sedatives may harm the developing brains of fetuses and children under 3 years old.
