On Monday afternoon, the Student Federation of the National University (FEUNA), hanged a pro-abortion sign with the message “Carlos, sign up!” on the pedestrian bridge located near the Pozuelo factory in La Uruca.
This is initiative calls on President Carlos Alvarado to approve the technical standard for therapeutic abortion under medical standards and human rights.
According to Jazmín Arroyo, secretary general of FEUNA, the initiative is part of the 70th anniversary of the universal declaration of human rights, and it also seeks to make visible the debt of the government regarding therapeutic abortion.
Arroyo assured that they will keep the sign hanging from the bridge for as long as possible.
