Fire destroyed recently-inagurated Ebais in Cartago

At 2:33 a.m. on Wednesday, the Fire Brigades received an alert from an Ebais in Pejibaye of Cartago that was burning in flames. The structure had been inaugurated a few hours earlier.

Guillermo Montoya, the entity’s supervisor, reported that 90% of the 100-square-meter enclosure was burned and no people were affected.

The Investigations Department of the entity initiated a report because this might be a case of arson. Neighbors reported that the Ebais was inaugurated the day before.

The Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) has not issued any statements on the matter.
