The effects of K2, also known as “Spice” or “synthetic marijuana”, are 100 times more powerful than natural cannabis.
Although it was known in Costa Rica, the first confiscation in the country was made on June 07th, in Purral de Goicoechea, where a 28-year-old man named González was carrying 3,9 grams of the drug.
The ministry of public security reported that the effects of the highly toxic substance include: palpitations, drowsiness, lethargy, vomiting and agitation. However, those who try it for the first time or abuse it run and scream wildly, lose time-place awareness and exhibit an out-of-control behavior.
