Five areas of San José will be affected by sewage works

The Municipality of San José will carry out a series of preventive works in the coming weeks in order to reduce or eliminate floods. These actions will affect drinking water and sanitary sewerage services during its construction in five areas of the capital.

The municipality will also carry out partial closures for several weeks, which go from the 7th street between the 30th and 14th avenues to build a rain relief collector in la Acequia Las Arias.

In addition, the drinking water service and sanitary sewer systems affected by the execution of the storm-water project in the project area will be repaired and improved. Although the works will generate inconveniences among the people who pass through the capital, understanding and patience were requested, since the authorities are only trying to prevent floods such as those that have occurred in previous years.

Norman Aguilar, head of the Pluvial Network, said that the following communities will perceive the impact:
1. La Soledad
2. Centro Catedral
3. Pacífico
4. San Cayetano
5. Barrio Chino
