On Sunday afternoon, the Fire Department of Costa Rica dealt with a forest fire in a plot adjacent to the wind towers of the Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) in Santa Ana.
As confirmed by the press office of the entity, about 20 firefighters were battling the flames with hand tools and rapid attack units to control and extinguish the fire.
At about 4:22 p.m., three hectares of land, secondary forest and pasture had been affected.
The temperatures in the place are around 25 degrees Celsius, with gusts of wind ranging from 60 to 70 km/h,”
informed the institution.
