A group of at least 20 former employees of Sinocem, a company of Juan Carlos Bolaños, have been waiting for their severance check for just over two months. This is only the first of the concerns.
The former workers assure that the companies that they come to compete for new positions discriminate them upon learning that their boss was Bolaños.
The fact of having been in Sinocem, although I had nothing to do with the credits, affected my resume,”
said Ilena Miranda, one of the former employees.
As soon as they see that I worked in Sinocem the change the subject. It is no longer a job interview, but about what happened in the company, what happened with the loan, but we don’t know. They almost destroy us with this issue,”
narrated Jean Carlo Calderón.
The statements were given in the radio program Soluciones laborales by lawyer Mario Varela, in which the reality of this group of unemployed people was discussed.
If you go out with a labeled car (from Sinocem), people on the streets would say ‘thief’, ‘he’s in the business’. So you rolled up the windows and turned your face,”
said Calderón.
The complaint of these workers who seek get their payment is under study in the Ministry of Labor.
