On August 4th, Costa Rican authorities and international experts will participate in a forum to discuss the challenges of social security in Costa Rica.
The activity will be held within the framework of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS), created on November 1st, 1941.
This forum will start at 8:30 am in the auditorium of the Center for Social Development (CEDESO). Domestic authorities, international experts, trade unions, cooperatives, employers’ associations and CCSS specialists will be part of this event.
In the activity there will be 3 panels where invited experts and Costa Rican authorities will analize both health insurance and pension insurance administered by the CCSS.
The closing ceremony will be held by doctor Guido Miranda, former director of the CCSS for two consecutive terms (1982-1990).
