The march of the workers on May 1st ended in Plaza de la Democracia. There, most union groups and people ended the activity. But Frente Amplio supporters took another route and went to the Legislative Assembly to protest.
The group, loaded with flags and signs, arrived at the Congress to show their dissatisfaction with the election of Carlos Ricardo Benavides as president of the legislative directory.
With a message from the former presidential candidate, Edgardo Araya, the group sang against the legislators and the President of the Republic.
