From containers to bus stops

Some containers were transformed into bus stops for the residents of Limón to wait for public transport in a safer and environmentally friendly way.

APM Terminals donated 6 refrigerated containers, which were redesigned and assembled in the workshops of the Container Terminal RADA, a Costa Rican port services company owned by APM Terminals.

According to Arturo Cuevillas, CEO of RADA-APM Terminals, the idea was born after talking to people in the province and representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport (MOPT).

The new bus stops can accommodate up to 40 users. They also have access ramps for people with disabilities and will be located in Cuba Creek, Liverpool, Colegio de Venecia, Saborío and Jiménez.
