Gasoline went down, but diesel went up

The Public Services Regulatory Authority (ARESEP) approved a reduction in the price of gasoline and an increase in the price of diesel for November.

The liter of super gasoline goes from ¢632 to ¢604 and the regular one from ¢603 to ¢580. On the other hand, the price of a liter of diesel increased from ¢507 to ¢513.

ARESEP approved the request made by the Costa Rican Petroleum Refinery (RECOPE) days ago.

Through a press release, ARESEP indicated that the variation in prices for the next month has to do with a recovery in refinery activity, which was affected after Hurricane Harvey, last August.

On the other hand, the decrease in the exchange rate contributed to a greater reduction in the final price of fuels,”

reported the entity.

These new prices will take effect one day after they are published in the Official Gazette.
