Unionists came wage bargaining.
On Monday, Unions walked away from salary negotiations for public sector workers, saying that the government lacked a concrete proposal. The labor union called for a 3.62 percent increase for the first half of the year, but did not receive a counter proposal from the government, which is asking for a week to review the numbers.
Executives from the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MTSS) complained of a lack of respect on the part of the union and would like to develop a plan that would include a new pay formula. The government also said that the union plan would increase costs by ¢144 billion ($288 million) for central government employees.
