Government and transporters reach agreement to end roadblocks

The Government of the Republic and the Union of Freight Carriers of Costa Rica, reached an agreement to lift roadblocks. This was confirmed by Juan Alfaro, Vice Minister of the Presidency and Citizen Dialogue.

The decision was made after a meeting on Tuesday at the Presidential House, which was also attended by Monsignor Javier Román, Archbishop of the Diocesis of Limón.

It was also agreed to establish a dialogue table in the next 15 business days to discuss issues of the sector. As a result, the movement and demonstrations by transporters that generated chaos in the national roads was deposed.
