The Costa Rican Farmer’s Day is celebrated on May 15th, therefore the Government wanted to pay tribute to the hundreds of citizens who are engaged in this activity with a traditional television broadcast.
Our producers are heroes who know how to cope with adversities as the entire country has witnessed during the different emergencies that have hit Costa Rica in the last three years: droughts, floods, hurricanes, eruptions and earthquakes,”

In the last year, the Government states that more than 1.7 billion colones have been invested to increase the crops of important products, and for research and strengthening of the National System of Research and Transfer of Agricultural Technology.
The financing of the agricultural sector, through Banking for Development grew 352%, from almost 23 billion colones, to more than 103 billion colones in the last two years.
