Green alert was suspended in the Pacific and Central Valley

Since the weather in the country will be stable over the next days, the National Emergency Commission (CNE) suspended the green alert status in the Pacific and Central Valley storm Nate.

According to the National Meteorological Institute (IMN), the stable conditions are due to the a dry air mass and the increase in the trade winds intensity in the Caribbean Sea, which will cause the rainfall to be very dispersed in the National territory.

In the North Zone and in the Caribbean regions, dispersed rains of short duration may occur over the plains. For the Central Valley and the North Pacific, the wind intensity will vary between 15 and 60 kilometers per hour,”

reported the IMN.

However, institutions are asked to remain vigilant and to review supplies inventories.
