Guanacaste’s new research center

Veritas University will create a center that will serve to provide training and conduct research related to politics, economy, culture, art and environmental science in Guanacaste.

The Center for Sustainable Design and Conservation will be located 6 kilometers from the center of Liberia, and will have, among other things, a bioclimatic space, an organic garden and an area for beekeeping.

Early planting and construction work will begin in October and November this year. The total cost amounts to more than $ 650,000.

Architects Mike Smith and Alejandro Vallejos were in charge of the design. Both of them were winners of the Sustainable Construction of the Costa Rican Chamber of Construction and the Biennial Prize.

This is another branch of education on sustainability and conservation from our university,”

said Alejandra Barahona, director of the International Programs Center (ICC).
