Heavy rains cause damage to homes in Guanacaste

Five children and four adults had to vacate their homes in Tempate, Santa Cruz, because the nearby was overflowing after the heavy rains that have affected the country in recent days.

The Huacas fire department was in charge of dealing with the emergency. In total, seven houses were affected.

In Nandayure, a woman was trapped after the Cabo Blanco Bridge collapsed due to the flooded river. The Fire Department of the area arrived at the site and performed the corresponding tasks to rescue her.

Another emergency occurred in the area of Artola, at the junction to Playa Potreros, where two men were trapped in a pick up truck in the middle of the river.
