The fuel price reduction is going to hit the brake. By October, the Regular and Súper fuel will increase 13 colones, while Diesel is going to be 24 colones more expensive.
Refinadora Costarricense de Petroleo (RECOPE) is going to ask the Regulatory Authority of Public Services (ARESEP) for a price adjustment due to the effect of the international prices, as well as the dollar’s exchange rate.
Súper fuel will increase from 566 colones to 579 colones per liter; Regular fuel and Diesel, which both currently cost 541 colones per liter, will be up to 554 colones.
The new prices will be official once they are published in La Gaceta.
