There are children with pending surgeries in orthopedics, otorhinolaryngology, reconstructive procedures and urology. However, the National Children’s Hospital has not been able to find all of them.
According to Olga Arguedas, director of the hospital, they have found telephone numbers and addresses that no longer belong to the 1,110 patients they are trying to contact. Therefore, the hospital is looking to update the data to schedule the surgeries.
From March 20th until March 24th, a call center will be available. If you are responsible for one of these children, dial 2523-3700 from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. You can also send an email to update@hnn.sa.cr.
Surgeries will be performed in the evening hours from Monday to Friday, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and on Saturdays.
These surgeries started two weeks ago and the goal is to be able to finish them in the next 6 months. For that purpose, an operating room was enabled, without affecting the two others rooms that are enabled daily for emergency care,”
reported the hospital through a press release.
Some 60 people will be involved in these surgeries, including surgeons, general practitioners, anesthesia specialists, among others, and the idea is to perform most surgeries in outpatient mode.
