On Wednesday, the Organization of American States (OAS) obtained a commitment from the two main candidates in the Honduran elections to call for peace and accept the result of the elections disclosed by the electoral tribunal.
The three-point pact was negotiated by the head of the OAS observer mission, former Bolivian President Jorge Quiroga, with the candidates Salvador Nasralla from the Alliance of Opposition Against the Dictatorship, and President Juan Orlando Hernández, from the National Party (PN).
