Agents from the Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) of Corredores, lifted a set of skeletal remains, apparently belonging to Cody Dial, an American adventurer missing in 2014.
The OIJ confirmed they also located a pair of sneakers, a case of a tent, a kidney bag and compass, among other things, apparently owned by Dial.
The bones were located in the area known as quebrada Doctor, in the Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula.
Dial allegedly entered Corcovado in 2014 without any guide, and no one heard of him ever since.
The authorities are now comparing DNA samples from the remains and from the victim’s relatives, who came to the country.
