The Costa Rican Electricity Institute (ICE) announced they saved ¢ 1,090 million in bonuses, as part of the spending rationalization that has been conducted since 2014.
The biggest saving corresponds to the 2014-2015 reduction of payments for overtime by 13% (¢ 958 million).
The other element was the elimination of additional payments to travel, availability and vehicle driving, among others,”
said Francisco Garro, corporate manager of Administration and Finance.
Garro also referred to a report by the General Comptroller of the Republic, released on Thursday, which audited the Personal Information System ICE (SIP) database and the procedures used for the payment of bonuses.
He added that the findings of the audit
do not mean that there are serious anomalies in the system or that bonuses that do not correspond are being payed, because the current database has established requirements for reliability and integrity.”
