If you are waiting for an arthroscopy or correction carpal tunnel syndrome at San Rafael de Alajuela and Max Peralta hospitals in Cartago, pay attention to your pone: officials from the Costa Rican Social Security Fund (CCSS) could call you at any time. The Fund intends to assist 2,000 pending cases during 2017.
It is reported that the cases will be assisted at the National Rehabilitation Center (CENARE), located in Uruca.
From this week until the end of January 2017, authorities will be contacting people by telephone, during the afternoons and evenings. Calls will be extended to people on the waiting list for these procedures.
By doing it, authorities aim to locate patients, check their personal information and make appointments to perform the necessary medical assessments to schedule the surgery.
Officials should identify themselves as CENARE professionals. Those conducting the calls will not ask for money, or any other collection. If it happens, report the situation.
If you want to verify the call information, you can contact the project managers through 2232-8233, extension 356, in working hours.
